Sensory Sundays — Calm, Inclusive Climbing Sensory Sundays create a quieter, more supportive way to experience indoor rock climbing. On the fourth Sunday of every month, Vertical Ventures opens the gym exclusively for climbers with sensory sensitivities. During this time, the facility is closed to the public, house music is turned off, and we ask everyone to use quiet voices to help maintain a calm, low-stimulation environment. Our experienced and compassionate staff are on hand to offer as much—or as little—support as you’d like. Whether it’s your first time climbing or part of a regular routine, Sensory Sunday is designed to make climbing feel accessible, comfortable, and welcoming for climbers of all ages. The Pit can feel intimidating — we get it. That’s why our staff is hanging out down there with you the first Wednesday of every month from 4–8pm. We’ll climb, belay, and help you practice the stuff that can feel nerve-wracking when you’re new to lead: knots, clips, soft catches, and all the little details that make the big picture smoother. If you’ve taken the class and want a little extra practice, this is your time to ask questions, mess up (we all do), and learn together. OG Climbing Club (Ages 55+) OG Climbing Club is Vertical Ventures’ indoor rock climbing program designed for adults 55 and up who want to stay active, keep learning, and connect with others in a supportive, welcoming space. These guided sessions focus on low-impact movement, balance, strength, and problem-solving—at a pace that feels encouraging, not intimidating. Whether you’re brand new to climbing or returning to it later in life, OG Climbing Club is about moving your body with confidence, trying something new, and enjoying the process together. Each session includes a thoughtful warm-up, coached climbing time on accessible routes, and space to socialize and build community. No prior experience needed.
