Get “On The Wall” with Vertical Ventures
Develop new skills and relationships. This hour long meet-up clinic aims to improve your technique, strength, and climbing skills through specific drills and movement. It’s a great opportunity to meet other climbers in your community and find new climbing partners. Each month showcases a specific theme and each week will explore variations on that theme.

What are all the names for all these holds?! There are so many!! Take this clinic to get the rundown on all the types of rock-climbing holds, some are huge, round, blocky, some are tiny and even itsy bitsy. Learning the hold-types gets you another step closer to understanding how to hold ’em!

Our experts are here to show you the lay of the land. Learn all about these wall-types! Maybe you’ve noticed we have so much angled terrain to climb on at VV. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know what to expect when climbing on ’em all!

Maximize and utilize your strength to better your potential by learning all the basic movements for climbing. Just like any sport and activity, climbing’s got an array of terms and skill sets – this class will introduce you to all the foundational aspects of moving up and around the wall!
01/24 – Build Endurance
Forearms getting tight and tired on the wall quick? Finding yourself over gripping? This is the class for you! Learn how to move more efficiently and rest while you’re climbing. After a bit of practice and dedication, you’ll be getting those forearm gains in no time!
01/31 – Route Reading
Finding yourself a bit confused and lost while you’re already up the wall? This might be another reason you’re tiring out so quickly! It turns out, you should basically start climbing before you even get on the wall. Let us teach you how to “read” the route you’re about to get on and develop ideas for your plan of attack on the floor first, and you’ll see how much smoother it’ll feel while you’re up there!
