Get “On The Wall” with Vertical Ventures
Develop new skills and relationships. This hour long meet-up clinic aims to improve your technique, strength, and climbing skills through specific drills and movement. It’s a great opportunity to meet other climbers in your community and find new climbing partners. Each month showcases a specific theme and each week will explore variations on that theme.
July 26 – Maximizing Your Sessions: Creating a Training Plan
Learn to maximize your sessions, whether it’s planning your rests, making climbing drills, or incorporating workouts into your climbing. w/ Atticus
August – Hold Types
August 2 – Directional Holds
We’ll find out why body positioning is so important when climbing on side pulls, underclings, and gastons. We’ll also learn about counter pressure and the rule of opposite hand and foot. w/ Logan
August 9 – Crimps
We’ll go over all the grip positions you can use on crimps and measure your fingers to find out which grip positions are ideal for you. W/ Cody
August 16 – Slopers
We’ll find out why the position of your hips and feet are so important on slopers. We’ll also apply the same technique to climbing on ledges. w/ Logan
August 23 – Pinches & Compressions
Do you struggle holding onto pinches? Come learn how to more effectively hang onto pinches. We’ll also go over the importance of good footwork when it comes to sticking compression moves. w/ Atticus
August 30 – Funky Holds
We’ve learned about crimps, slopers, and pinches, but now it’s time to learn and climb on the odd balls of the climbing world.
